I'm not doing anymore digital art for awhile. I do all of it on my laptop, but I don't have a desk and chair to sit in. Originally I always had to do it either lying on the floor or hunched over my laptop while seated on the floor. But that hurts my back so I can't do it for long and it irritates me. Irritation does not make for good progress or quality works. I finally got some furniture for my apartment, but placing my laptop on the coffee table provides no back support either and no arrangement on the couch is comfortable for me. Paired with the summer heat and lack of effective air conditioner, I get frustrated way to quickly, it negatively affects my patience, and frustration and patience don't go well with art. It's not enjoyable, it looks awful, and I can't get myself to fix it because I'm so annoyed and uncomfortable.

So until I get a comfortable desk/table and chair to work with and/or it cools down (i.e. October or November), I'm not doing any digital art. It's just not enjoyable right now because it causes me physical pain to not have the back support I need. Nothing comes out right and the quality of what I produce and my lack of inspiration really upsets me to the point where I'm on the verge of tears.

However, on the bright side, I have a brand new sketch book with only two pages taken up, so I will still be sketching. I feel that'll be better for me to work on right now anyway since I'd like to focus on my ability to draw and illustrate. Sadly, I don't have a scanner so if you want to see my sketches you will have to wait. I can probably get one from my dad's house but, that is a completely different story and the fact that I haven't done that in the six months isn't because of my customary procrastination. Anyway, the focus on sketching will probably be good. Maybe I'll finally work on drawing from life and learning anatomy!
